St. Paul, MN (December 8, 2015) — Matsuura Machinery USA Inc. will host an Introduction to 5-Axis Workshop featuring a live demonstrations of the company’s premium machine tools in St. Paul, MN on January 20, 2016. The Matsuura team will welcome visitors to the company’s headquarters for this special event.
“There are numerous myths regarding 5-axis machining. Many people believe that it is difficult to program, problematic to setup and inaccurate. These are massive misconceptions,” said Tyler Bonde, Matsuura machinery USA Applications Engineer.
“The purpose of the ‘Introduction to 5-axis’ workshop is to demonstrate how easy it is to program with the use of software from OPEN MIND hyperMILL and off-the-shelf fixturing solutions from Raptor Workholding Products to machine a part on an extremely accurate Matsuura MX-850 premium machine tool,” Bonde added.
The machining industry has made great advancements in CAM software, CNC control software and machine design. During this workshop, customers will learn how to properly program the most commonly used toolpaths in 5-axis machining.
Industry professionals will also discuss proper workholding and machining techniques. Lunch will be provided and the event will wrap with an informative question and answer session.
“It is essential for the modern machine shop to gain a competitive edge to compete with the constant threat from overseas manufacturing. These domestic shops must manufacture higher quality parts faster, more accurately, all while providing a lower cost to their customer. Matsuura’s premium machine tools provide the most advanced machining technology available today,” Bonde added.
Customers will also be invited to tour the 40,000 sq. ft. facility including the expansive showroom and technical demonstration areas, spacious conference and training rooms, the substantial accessories and spare parts storage areas.
“We invite customers to our facility to share the latest in machine tool technology along with our outstanding service and applications expertise,” Bonde concluded.
