St. Paul, MN (June 20, 2018) — Matsuura Machinery USA, Inc. will showcase the MX-850 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center, the solution for large and complex machining tasks, at IMTS.

Developed in response to market demand for a large capacity, high quality, yet cost effective single table Matsuura 5-Axis machining platform, the MX-850 is compactly built, yet ensures high rigidity and a sufficient machining area and workability.
The MX-850 is equipped with a operating system that allows for direct, instinctive control as well as MIMS (Matsuura Intelligent Meister System) and Matsuura’s proprietary Intelligent Protection System for the prevention of collisions.

With easy access to the enclosure for the rapid set up of work, the machine utilizes overhead cranes to load up to 500kg on the trunnion table. The standard table on the MX-850 has a diameter of 19.68 in. (500mm). The maximum workpiece size on the standard 500mm table is 33.46 in. (850 mm) in width with a height of 17.71 in. (450mm), combined with a maximum weight of 500kg.
“In addition to standard spindle of 12,000 RPM, optional spindle of 20,000 RPM for high speed machining or 15,000 RPM for heavy duty machining, the Matsuura MX-850 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center offers customers the best in machining center versatility,” the Matsuura Machinery USA, Inc. The MX-850 has been designed with a RAM type structure, offering a compact and highly durable machining platform. Including a dynamic chip flush and chip flow fitted as standard, which provides effortless evacuation of chips in the machining enclosure. Optional larger tanks and conveyors may be added to allow longer periods of continuous machining.
The standard 60 tool chain type ATC offers ample storage for a vast array of machining processes.
