Chicago, IL (September 12, 2014) — Matsuura Machinery USA is showcasing the MAM72-100H Horizontal Machining Center, the largest Five-Axis model in the MAM72 Series in the South Hall, Booth S-8640 at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago’s McCormick Place.

The Matsuura MAM72-100H Five-Axis horizontal machining center allows cutting on all five sides in one operation and can achieve process integration and high-accuracy complex 5-Axis machining to meet the need for unmanned operation. This substantial machining center is one of very few to use linear motor, 5-Axis technology. The Matsuura MAM72-100H Horizontal Machining Center is exhibited with the high-torque, #50 Taper Spindle.
“Our demo at IMTS on the Matsuura MAM72-100H 5-Axis horizontal machining is an Aluminum Aircraft Duct. This demo highlights the simultaneous 5-Axis machining of large work pieces, the machining of complex shapes with multiple surfaces, and the high-speed indexing by DD Motor with the 4th and 5th Axes,” Busman said.
