Chicago, IL (September 11, 2014) — Matsuura Machinery USA is showcasing the Matsuura LX-160 High Grade Vertical Linear Motor Machine at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago’s McCormick Place.
“The Matsuura LX-160 High Grade Vertical Linear Motor Machine we are presenting at IMTS is the ultimate Five-Axis Vertical Machine equipped with linear motors for machining with high speed and high precision,” said David Beam, Matsuura Machinery USA’s Sales Coordinator.
Matsuura’s LX-160 at IMTS features a PC 42 Linear Pallet System and a 338 tool matrix magazine. In addition, the Matsuura-built 46K RPM high speed integral spindle includes JIS#30 connection and oil air lubrication.
“The LX-160 is a dedicated and optimized Five-Axis design, not a Three-Axis machine with a “bolt on” 4th and 5th. The LX-160 is dedicated to the high-speed, high-accuracy market, with a focus on small work piece processing and linear motor drive technology,” Beam said.
“We have three demos on this machine at IMTS: Trauma Plates, utilizing high mix and low volume production of various plates through the use of PC42 & 338 Tool Matrix; Turbocharger Impeller, employing high-speed simultaneous 5-Axis machining of parts for reducing cycle times; and Punch Molds, utilizing precision 5-Axis mold machining, improved surface finish and reduced cycle time with shorter tools,” Beam added.
In addition to the LX-160 High Grade Vertical Linear Motor Machine, the company will also feature the following premium machining centers in the South Hall, Booth S-8640: the CUBLEX-35 Five-Axis Multi-Tasking Machining Center, the H.Plus-300 Horizontal Machining Center, the MAM72-100H Five-Axis Horizontal Machining Center, and the MX-850 Five-Axis Vertical Machining Center.
All Matsuura machine tools featured at IMTS will be equipped with CAMplete Truepath Software: an integrated suite of G-code editing, optimization, analysis and verification tools.
